As a traditional Catholic that converted about a decade ago, I always enjoy thinking about some Traditional Catholic doctrines, theologies, divine law, scripture, .. Mystery, and then create an Apologetic using modern Scientific Theory and out-of-box thinking.
Here is why I think the Burning in Purgatory is God's Loving Mercy, and how could it be?
Thank you so much for reading this. I’m glad you liked it. I did think of you when I wrote it. If nothing else, I thought you’d be one of the few people who actually understood the point I was making. I think the answer is ultimately yes, our existence transcends this simulation, but the trick is in what form and capacity. As I previously mentioned, I’m a student of Advaita Vedanta. As such, I believe there is only one core point of impersonal consciousness the entire creation is extending from. We, the techno avatars in this particular simulation, are dreams/imagined characters in the “ones” eternal lucid dream. We are like points on a plane extending infinitely, or tentacles of an octopus. The point of our seeming existence is possibly some form of masturbation of the “one” to self amuse and self actualize. To hedge against the boredom of eternal existence. The fabric of the manifest dream is quantum energy particles and frequency that coagulates into specific forms stemming from focused attention from the “one”. As such, it is indestructible. At best, it can be recycled. That is the form and capacity in which our existence transcends this simulation. There is no question as to weather we want it to or not. There is no will or choice involved. It is automatic.

The only question is, does our existence transcend this simulation? Do we want it to?
