I recently posed “I don’t care about the newest war”. Many predictably misunderstood this as indifference. But it’s not. War is a simple symptom of centralised government. I’ve burned the biggest bridges insisting that we do not need the state. And people who believe we need the state complain about its inalienable characteristics, eg war.
I know you’re not indifferent. To support government, and especially vote, is a ludicrous act of Stockholm syndrome. In this post, I’m not supporting this or any other war, I’m pointing out how horrible the atrocities are that are being perpetrated on innocent victims - all with much of the human race acting like nothing is happening while they play pickleball.
The post was relatable and accurately captures the current zeitgeist. I gravitated towards the mention about not caring about current events, which, depending on how you look at it, might apply to people like me. That's why I sought to clarify

Not you, I didn’t mean ordinary current events. I mean really serious stuff - but more the decay of civilization going unnoticed.
