Prayer and Gratitude
Lets think about prayer. Praying to some separate, distant God for some favor or outcome you deem yourself deficient of is ludicrous. The “prayer” itself is the first person manifesting principle, not who you direct it to. Prayer sets the energy in motion. That’s why it seems to work. It’s a conscious intention. It’s a New Age affirmation. It doesn’t work if one has a ton of doubts and baggage about what they are praying for. But wait, there’s a more direct route, take no detour.
Lets think about gratitude. Goes like this, or so you’re told. You must be grateful to God for what you receive, or (implied) you’ll lose it, not receive future gifts, or be punished in some way. As if “God” would care, or need you to schmooze him in some way. The“gratitude” only benefits the one feeling it. It carries within it a healing energy. Gratitude is a catalyst. It catalyzes whatever you are grateful for into manifest experience. Simply put, gratitude IS the prayer. Whatever one thinks they want or feels deficient in, and prays for, the praying is an unnecessary step. Who are they praying to? Just the flowing of genuine gratitude from the heart on the topic one is praying for, is the quantum energy that manifests that very desire into being. It’s a direct connector. It’s a person to person phone call. It’s a universal energetic phenomenon. If it helps, change the word gratitude to appreciation. I like the sound of it better, not so subservient.
Or, you could just wait and see what happens, because you know you’re not in charge of anything anyway. All this “manifesting” your personal preferences is just lila, the Divine play. It’s a trick of the phenomenal universe. It’s like being on the Star Trek Holodeck after it was programmed for you to have an adventure, then believing the adventure is real and you created it.
